Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks in a local and regional delivery environment.
- Load and unload freight efficiently, ensuring cargo security and proper handling.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies, maintaining a clean driving record.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections as required by DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to ensure smooth operations.
- Complete necessary paperwork, including logs and delivery receipts, accurately.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Current DOT Medical Card (Medical Examiner's Certificate).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial vehicle.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety procedures.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if necessary.
