Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles on designated routes within San Jose and surrounding areas
- Perform pre-trip inspections and ensure DOT compliance documentation is accurate
- Load/unload freight with proper handling techniques to prevent damage
- Maintain detailed delivery logs and communicate status updates to dispatch
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and defensive driving practices
- Build strong relationships with clients through professional interactions
- Assist in route optimization to maximize delivery efficiency
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Proficiency with electronic logging devices (ELD) and basic navigation technology
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Knowledge of California traffic laws and regulations
- Excellent customer service communication abilities
