Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A trucks safely and efficiently on interstate and local highways.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring securement and weight distribution.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and all required paperwork.
- Adhere strictly to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any delays.
- Keep the vehicle's interior and exterior clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record.
- Must possess a current DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable Class A driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Willingness and ability to work rotating night shifts (10:00 PM - 7:00 AM).
- Strong understanding of traffic laws and cargo securement procedures.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and reporting.
