Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) safely and efficiently to deliver goods to designated locations.
- Inspect vehicles prior to and after trips, ensuring DOT compliance and reporting any mechanical issues immediately.
- Load and unload cargo securely, utilizing proper lifting techniques and equipment (forklift, pallet jack) as needed.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and all required documentation, including bills of lading and delivery receipts.
- Interact professionally with customers and warehouse personnel to ensure satisfaction and resolve delivery issues.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial setting.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen (DOT compliant).
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety procedures.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings or late nights if required.
- Basic math skills for making change and verifying delivery amounts.
