Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and vehicle readiness.
- Safely load, secure, and unload cargo using proper equipment (forklift, dock levelers, etc.).
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging device (ELD) records in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and Department of Transportation (DOT) standards.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, fleet managers, and customers regarding delivery schedules and route changes.
- Keep the tractor and trailer clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Must be at least 21 years of age to operate a commercial vehicle across state lines.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen and criminal background check.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
