Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for overnight freight deliveries
- Perform pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and HOS compliance protocols
- Secure and unload cargo using proper loading techniques
- Utilize GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and warehouse teams
- Document delivery exceptions and handle customer inquiries
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to work overnight shifts (typically 8 PM - 6 AM)
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Familiarity with hazmat placards and tanker endorsement preferred
- Strong navigation skills and regional route knowledge
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
