Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport freight across designated routes
- Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate DOT-compliant logs
- Plan efficient routes while adhering to delivery schedules and traffic regulations
- Secure and unload cargo using proper loading techniques and equipment
- Communicate proactively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status and delays
- Comply with all federal/state safety regulations and company policies
- Complete necessary paperwork for deliveries and vehicle maintenance
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Proficient in electronic logging device (ELD) systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong knowledge of Ohio and surrounding state highway systems
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility for overnight routes and weekend shifts
