Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for long-haul and regional deliveries
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate DOT compliance logs
- Load/unload freight with proper securement techniques ensuring cargo safety
- Adhere strictly to FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
- Optimize delivery routes to meet tight deadlines while maximizing fuel efficiency
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Maintain clean driving record and represent company professionally at all customer sites
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with minimum 2 years verifiable experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Proficient in electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS navigation
- Familiarity with hazmat materials handling (preferred but not required)
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility for overnight trips and weekend schedules as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent required
