Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles (semi-trucks) for local and regional routes
- Load/unload freight with proper equipment and documentation procedures
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and maintenance checks
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging device (ELD) records
- Adhere to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient route optimization
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Secure cargo according to industry best practices
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Hazmat endorsement preferred but not required
- Familiarity with California traffic laws and port regulations
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Strong time management and communication skills
