Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner at all times.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety standards.
- Secure cargo properly, ensuring weight distribution and load stability throughout the transit.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and adhere strictly to DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery updates and route changes.
- Uphold our company’s high standards of customer service and safety culture on and off the road.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements (Class A preferred, Class B considered for local).
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no serious violations in the past 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, navigation, and local road conditions in the IL/VA corridor.
- Reliable personal vehicle for training (if applicable) and a commitment to attendance.
