Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A/B CDL) for local/regional routes
- Plan efficient delivery routes while adhering to DOT regulations and schedules
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate logs
- Load/unload cargo with precision and proper handling techniques
- Communicate with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and company standards
- Represent Swift Transport with professionalism in customer interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and random drug screening
- Proficiency in using electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Strong navigation skills and knowledge of NYC/NJ/PA area
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Exceptional time management and problem-solving abilities
