Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently on regional routes, including Detroit and surrounding Ohio areas.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure DOT compliance.
- Secure cargo properly using straps, chains, and binders.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records in compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Load and unload freight using forklifts and material handling equipment when required.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A or Class B) required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical).
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no serious violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong communication skills and customer service attitude.
- Willingness to work flexible weekend shifts.
