Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers safely and efficiently over designated routes in the Omaha area.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring weight distribution and proper documentation.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging devices (ELD) and adhere to all traffic laws.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and potential delays.
- Ensure the vehicle interior and exterior are kept clean and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B CDL with the necessary endorsements (Hazmat/Tanker preferred but not required).
- Achieved a passing score on the CDL skills and knowledge tests.
- Clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT compliant).
- Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues.
