Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMV) on highways and local delivery routes.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure DOT compliance.
- Load and unload cargo using proper equipment and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging devices (ELD) and delivery paperwork.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding schedules and deliveries.
- Handle freight with care to ensure minimal damage and damage claims.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B required.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations within the last 3 years.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Previous experience in logistics, freight, or transportation preferred.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and documentation.
