Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A delivery trucks in the Atlanta metropolitan area and surrounding Georgia regions.
- Load and unload freight using forklifts and pallet jacks, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement.
- Verify delivery contents against manifests and obtain customer signatures upon completion.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the cab and cargo area, reporting any vehicle maintenance needs promptly.
- Adhere strictly to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, HOS (Hours of Service), and company safety policies.
- Provide exceptional customer service by representing the brand professionally at every stop.
- Complete daily logbooks and electronic logging devices (ELD) accurately and on time.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable professional driving experience in a similar role.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of Georgia traffic laws and local geography.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory verification.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and working in various weather conditions.
