In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of freight across the Portland metropolitan area. We utilize a modern remote dispatch system that streamlines communication and scheduling, allowing you to focus on what you do best: driving.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A or B delivery vehicles to ensure on-time arrivals.
- Perform comprehensive pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to maintain DOT compliance.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring weight distribution and cargo security.
- Handle customer interactions professionally, ensuring satisfaction at every delivery point.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and paperwork in compliance with federal regulations.
- Keep the vehicle interior and exterior clean and organized at all times.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A or Class B license (Class A preferred).
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations within the last 3 years.
- Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) on a consistent basis.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues.
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills.
