Your Role:
You will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of freight across the West Coast. We are looking for professionals who take pride in their work and maintain a clean driving record.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks to deliver freight to designated locations within the Los Angeles metro area and surrounding regions.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) and company safety standards.
- Verify and document cargo loads, ensuring accurate delivery manifests and signatures.
- Maintain accurate logs using electronic logging devices (ELD) and adhere to all Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
- Practice defensive driving techniques to minimize risks and ensure the safety of passengers, other drivers, and pedestrians.
- Provide exceptional customer service to consignees and shippers at delivery points.
- Report any vehicle maintenance issues or accidents immediately to fleet management.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driverβs License (CDL-A) required.
- Must possess a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable truck driving experience in the last 5 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination (Drug Screen and Background Check required).
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, road safety, and cargo handling procedures.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible schedules as required.
