Job Summary
We are looking for a dedicated driver to operate commercial trucks, ensuring that cargo is delivered on time and in perfect condition. If you have a passion for the road and a commitment to safety, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A vehicles to transport freight to and from distribution centers, warehouses, and retail locations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck and trailer are in safe operating condition.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual handling, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and daily logs (DVIR) in compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Navigate local and regional routes efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and delivery schedules.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and warehouse staff regarding delays, issues, or delivery updates.
- Keep the truck interior and exterior clean and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driverβs License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial truck.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam and drug screen.
- Basic knowledge of trucking terminology, safety regulations, and cargo handling procedures.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid Social Security Number.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally during loading and unloading.
