Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles in accordance with federal and state regulations (DOT/FMCSA).
- Load and unload freight accurately and efficiently using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and electronic logging devices (ELD) compliant with hours of service.
- Ensure cargo is secured and protected from damage during transit.
- Adhere to all company policies regarding safety, customer service, and driving standards.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC) on file.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations or DUIs in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a mandatory drug screen and background check.
- Physically capable of lifting, pushing, and pulling freight weighing up to 50 lbs.
