As a key member of our team, you will operate state-of-the-art equipment across the Southeast, ensuring timely delivery of goods while maintaining the highest safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks to deliver freight on time and in excellent condition.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (DVIR) to ensure roadworthiness.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and all required paperwork, including bills of lading and delivery receipts.
- Load and secure cargo properly using straps, chains, and other tie-down equipment.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and warehouse personnel to resolve any delivery issues.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, company policies, and safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no DUI/DWI in the last 5 years.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screening.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Basic knowledge of GPS navigation and electronic logging devices (ELD).
