Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 8 tractor-trailers on dedicated local routes within 150-mile radius
- Complete pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Load/unload freight using forklifts and pallet jacks (no-touch freight available)
- Adhere to DOT regulations and company safety protocols at all times
- Communicate with dispatch team via electronic logging device (ELD)
- Deliver freight to warehouses, distribution centers, and retail locations
- Complete delivery documentation and obtain proper signatures
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Familiarity with Columbus metro area and surrounding counties
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Basic computer skills for ELD operation and documentation
- Strong commitment to safety and customer service
- No preventable accidents in past 3 years
