Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 8 tractor-trailers for local and regional routes within Los Angeles County
- Perform pre-trip inspections and basic preventive maintenance to ensure vehicle compliance
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and electronic logs (ELD) per DOT regulations
- Coordinate with dispatch teams for efficient loading/uncheduling and route optimization
- Represent Pacific Logistics Solutions with professional conduct at customer facilities
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and defensive driving standards in all conditions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Familiarity with LA traffic patterns and delivery zones
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and HOS compliance
- Basic mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting common issues
- Excellent time management and communication skills
