Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A) in a safe and timely manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety.
- Load and unload freight accurately and efficiently using appropriate equipment.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and all required paperwork in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any potential issues.
- Represent Apex Logistics professionally at all times, maintaining a clean and organized cab.
- Follow route maps and delivery schedules to ensure on-time performance.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable truck driving experience preferred.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong understanding of DOT and FMCSA regulations.
- Must be willing to travel and work flexible hours, including weekends if necessary.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues.
