Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks in accordance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and safety protocols.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify any mechanical issues or safety hazards.
- Maintain accurate logs (DVIR) and adhere to Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Represent the company professionally at all times, maintaining a clean and safe driving record.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record (no DUIs in the last 5 years).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and road safety regulations.
- Must possess a current Medical Examiner's Certificate.
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
