Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight across designated routes
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate logs
- Coordinate with dispatch for optimal routing and delivery timelines
- Ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
- Assist in secure loading/unloading of cargo when required
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Report maintenance issues and coordinate vehicle servicing
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Clean MVR with no serious violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Basic knowledge of hazmat handling (certification a plus)
- Strong communication and time-management skills
- Flexibility to work weekends and overnight routes as needed
