Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 8 commercial vehicles on local and regional routes
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure DOT compliance
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and electronic logs (ELD)
- Collaborate with dispatch team for efficient route optimization
- Handle freight loading/unloading with proper equipment operation
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and defensive driving practices
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with California traffic regulations and route systems
- Basic mechanical knowledge for roadside troubleshooting
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Exceptional customer service orientation
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
