Responsibilities
- Transport students safely to and from school and school activities in a timely manner.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the bus is in safe operating condition.
- Maintain a clean and orderly bus environment, ensuring all safety equipment is accessible.
- Enforce school bus safety rules and ensure all students remain seated while the bus is in motion.
- Monitor student behavior and communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch.
- Perform emergency evacuation procedures if necessary.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Passenger (P) endorsement required.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations.
- Must pass a criminal background check, motor vehicle check, and drug screen.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical duties such as bus evacuation.
- Strong communication skills and a patient, professional demeanor.
