Responsibilities
- Operate dump trucks to transport various materials (sand, gravel, dirt, asphalt) to and from job sites.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload materials efficiently using truck-mounted equipment or forklifts.
- Maintain accurate logs and paperwork as required by Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety protocols at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and site supervisors regarding delivery schedules and potential delays.
- Keep the truck and cab clean and organized.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience driving dump trucks or heavy haul trucks.
- Clean driving record with no major violations.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination.
- Strong understanding of weight limits and DOT regulations.
- Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy loads and working in various weather conditions.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends as needed.
