Responsibilities
- Safely Operate Vehicles: Drive commercial trucks and heavy equipment in accordance with FMCSA regulations and company safety policies.
- Load and Unload: Secure cargo properly using straps, chains, and cargo bars during the loading and unloading process.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to identify and report any mechanical issues.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records, including electronic logging devices (ELD), delivery receipts, and mileage logs.
- Route Navigation: Utilize GPS systems to plan efficient routes and deliver cargo on time.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers and dispatchers to ensure satisfaction and clear communication.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A: Must possess a current and valid Commercial Driver's License.
- Driving Experience: Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience (OTR or Local).
- Clean Record: Must have a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and pass a background check.
- Medical Certification: Current DOT Medical Card is required.
- Equipment Knowledge: Ability to operate different types of trailers (Dry Van, Reefer, Flatbed).
- Physical Fitness: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading.
