Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 8 tractor-trailers on regional routes within Texas
- Load/unload cargo with proper securing and documentation
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain vehicle logs
- Adhere to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Deliver freight on time with minimal exceptions
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients
- Manage route adjustments for weather/traffic conditions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record
- 2+ years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations
- Basic navigation skills and GPS familiarity
- Flexible schedule including early mornings/weekends
- TWIC card or ability to obtain within 30 days
