Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers to transport freight across Illinois and Midwest routes
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and document vehicle maintenance
- Adhere strictly to HOS regulations and DOT compliance standards
- Coordinate with dispatch for efficient route planning and delivery timelines
- Secure and verify cargo using proper loading/unloading procedures
- Maintain electronic logs (ELD) and delivery documentation
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year tractor-trailer experience
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Familiarity with Chicago metro routing and traffic patterns
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs occasionally
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Strong communication and time management abilities
