Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A vehicles safely and efficiently during night hours.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using proper lifting techniques and handling equipment.
- Maintain accurate logs (DVIR) and electronic logging devices (ELD) in strict adherence to FMCSA hours-of-service rules.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety protocols while navigating both urban and highway environments.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any necessary delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL Class A) required.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC) is mandatory.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience.
- Clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Ability to pass a mandatory drug screen and background check.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety procedures.
- Basic mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues.
