Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers on regional routes (AZ, CA, NM)
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and DOT compliance documentation
- Load/unload shipments with proper securing techniques
- Maintain electronic logs and communicate with dispatch
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and delivery schedules
- Represent Desert Star Transport professionally at all customer sites
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (3+ years experience)
- 2+ years recent OTR or regional driving experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- HazMat endorsement preferred (training provided)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong navigation skills and familiarity with Southwest routes
- Excellent communication and time management skills
