Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks safely and efficiently on local and regional routes within Milwaukee and surrounding areas.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Load, secure, and unload cargo using appropriate equipment and tie-down techniques.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and daily logs.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety protocols at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) in good standing.
- Current DOT medical card (Medical Examiner’s Certificate).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs and bending.
- Strong knowledge of Milwaukee-area routes and traffic patterns is a plus.
