Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers on local and regional routes within 100-mile radius of Detroit
- Complete pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate electronic logs (ELD compliance)
- Load/unload freight using pallet jacks and forklift training provided
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and company safety standards
- Communicate with dispatch team via Qualcomm for real-time updates
- Deliver freight to automotive, manufacturing, and distribution centers
- Maintain clean driving record and participate in quarterly safety training
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and operate warehouse equipment
- Knowledge of Detroit Metro area roadways and traffic patterns
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Twic card preferred or willing to obtain
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Flexible schedule availability (early mornings/weekends as needed)
