Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to deliver freight to designated locations in and around Portland.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing freight to prevent damage.
- Interact professionally with customers, verifying deliveries and obtaining signatures as required.
- Maintain accurate records of delivery logs, mileage, and delivery statuses using company handheld devices.
- Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) and company policies regarding driving hours and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (Medical Card).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to work independently.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and perform physical tasks in various weather conditions.
