Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently across Virginia and regional routes
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, safety protocols, and delivery schedules
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle logs
- Coordinate with dispatch team for route optimization and real-time updates
- Ensure secure loading/unloading of freight with proper documentation
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Report maintenance issues and coordinate vehicle servicing promptly
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in the past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of Virginia roadways and regional geography
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Flexibility for irregular schedules and overnight routes
- Basic familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD)
