Responsibilities
- Safely operate and maintain your box truck across regional routes
- Coordinate with dispatch for timely pick-up and delivery of freight
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintenance checks
- Manage electronic logs (ELD) and comply with DOT regulations
- Build strong relationships with clients and ensure customer satisfaction
- Optimize routes for efficiency and fuel economy
- Submit accurate delivery documentation and expense reports
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with clean driving record (3+ years experience)
- Reliable box truck (26+ ft) in good mechanical condition
- Current DOT medical certification
- Proven experience in freight transportation or logistics
- Strong time management and route planning skills
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs when required
- Reliable smartphone and communication tools
- Basic accounting knowledge for independent contractor responsibilities
