Responsibilities
- Operate dump trucks to transport loose materials (sand, gravel, soil, asphalt) to and from job sites efficiently and safely.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck is in optimal operating condition.
- Secure loads properly to prevent shifting and ensure safety during transit.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies while driving.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, site supervisors, and crew members regarding delivery schedules and route changes.
- Report any mechanical issues or accidents immediately to fleet management.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial dump truck driving experience.
- Clean driving record with no recent DUIs or serious traffic violations.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
