Responsibilities
- Safely operate a 26ft box truck on assigned delivery routes within NC and surrounding areas.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper handling and protection from weather elements.
- Complete all necessary paperwork, including Bill of Lading and delivery receipts.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
- Maintain a clean and professional driving record at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding pickup and delivery times.
- Perform minor vehicle maintenance checks (tires, fluids, lights) as needed.
Qualifications
- Must own and maintain a clean, operational box truck (Class A or B CDL preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Owner Operator or Lease Operator.
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and current medical card.
- Excellent driving record with no DUIs or serious traffic violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to lift and move heavy packages (up to 50lbs) repeatedly.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet tight delivery windows.
- Basic computer literacy for electronic logging and documentation.
