Responsibilities
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload freight securely, adhering to proper handling procedures.
- Plan efficient routes to meet delivery deadlines and minimize fuel consumption.
- Maintain accurate daily logs and required documentation (Bill of Lading, etc.).
- Represent the company professionally while interacting with customers and brokers.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance and keep the truck clean and presentable.
Qualifications
- Current USDOT/MC Authority and insurance (if applicable to the posting type).
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or B (depending on equipment).
- Clean driving record with no major violations within the last 3 years.
- Previous experience driving box trucks or straight trucks.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Ability to lift and move freight weighing up to 50 lbs.
