Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks (24-26ft) for local/regional deliveries within Illinois and surrounding states
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation (BOLs, PODs) and electronic logs
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and basic preventative maintenance
- Optimize routes for on-time delivery while adhering to DOT regulations
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Manage loading/unloading coordination at client facilities
- Uphold strict safety standards and company branding protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with air brake endorsement
- Minimum 2 years verifiable box truck or straight truck experience
- Clean MVR (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Current DOT medical certificate
- Reliable 24-26ft box truck (2008 or newer) with valid registration
- $1M+ commercial liability insurance
- Ability to lift 50lbs repeatedly and climb trailer decks
- Smartphone with reliable data connectivity for dispatch apps
