Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently deliver Amazon packages to residential and commercial addresses using company-provided vehicles
- Maintain strict adherence to delivery routes, timelines, and Amazon's performance standards
- Provide exceptional customer service during package deliveries and address customer inquiries professionally
- Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Utilize Amazon's delivery technology (handheld scanner, GPS) for accurate tracking and proof of delivery
- Operate vehicles in compliance with all traffic laws and Amazon's safety protocols
- Assist with package loading/unloading and warehouse operations when not on delivery routes
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license (Class A or B) or clean Class C license with 2+ years of driving experience
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening as required by Amazon
- Strong time management skills with the ability to meet tight delivery schedules
- Basic knowledge of Chicago neighborhoods and ability to navigate efficiently
- Physical ability to lift packages up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout shifts
- Proficiency with mobile technology and willingness to learn Amazon's delivery systems
- Must be at least 21 years old with a clean driving record for the past 3 years
- Reliable transportation to and from the distribution center
