Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks for local/regional freight delivery within Minnesota
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and electronic logging systems
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and preventive maintenance
- Optimize delivery routes for maximum efficiency and on-time performance
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Manage loading/unloading operations with proper equipment handling
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company safety standards
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 5 years)
- Minimum 2 years box truck or similar commercial driving experience
- Reliable late-model box truck (26' max) with valid commercial insurance
- Strong knowledge of metro area traffic patterns and delivery zones
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Proficient with smartphone apps for navigation and communication
