Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks for freight transport within Alaska
- Plan efficient routes to meet delivery deadlines
- Maintain accurate DOT logs and documentation
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and basic maintenance
- Coordinate loading/unloading operations at client sites
- Communicate shipment status with dispatch and clients
- Adhere to Alaska-specific road regulations and weather protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years box truck/straight truck experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in 3 years
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Own or have reliable access to DOT-compliant box truck
- Knowledge of Alaska terrain and winter driving conditions
- Strong time management and communication skills
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting knowledge
