Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks for local/regional freight delivery in Memphis metro area
- Manage loading/unloading procedures with proper freight handling protocols
- Maintain accurate DOT compliance logs and delivery documentation
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and coordinate routine vehicle maintenance
- Optimize routes using GPS navigation to ensure on-time deliveries
- Communicate delivery status and exceptions to dispatch team
- Uphold company safety standards and customer service excellence
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with clean MVR (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years box truck or straight truck experience
- Current DOT medical certification and active commercial insurance
- Relatively modern box truck (2015+ model preferred)
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Proficient in electronic logging device (ELD) usage
- Strong time management and route optimization skills
