Responsibilities
- Safely operate box truck for local/regional freight deliveries
- Plan efficient routes while maintaining delivery timelines
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and basic maintenance
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation
- Communicate with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company policies
- Coordinate loading/unloading operations at client sites
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A or B license with clean MVR
- Minimum 2 years box truck driving experience
- Proof of commercial truck insurance ($1M liability)
- DOT medical certification and physical card
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Strong time management and customer service skills
- Must own or lease DOT-compliant box truck
