Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and delivery vehicles to transport freight to designated locations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring items are properly secured to prevent damage during transit.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policies at all times.
- Maintain accurate records using electronic logging devices (ELD) and daily logs.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and issues.
- Handle customer interactions professionally and resolve any delivery-related concerns promptly.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B required.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience preferred.
- Must possess a clean driving record and pass a background check and drug screen.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, late nights, and weekends.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet tight delivery deadlines.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to perform routine vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
