As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring our customers receive their packages safely and on time. We are looking for self-motivated individuals who take pride in their driving record and customer interactions.
Responsibilities
- Safely navigate local routes in Chicago to deliver packages to residential and commercial addresses.
- Utilize handheld delivery scanners to capture proof of delivery and manage digital logs.
- Interact professionally with customers, handling deliveries with care and maintaining a friendly demeanor.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure vehicle safety and cleanliness.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring items are secured properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies at all times.
- Report any vehicle maintenance issues or delivery exceptions immediately to the dispatch team.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Driver's License with a clean driving record (no major violations in the last 3 years).
- Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver packages weighing between 25 and 50 pounds repeatedly.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Basic proficiency with smartphone apps and GPS navigation systems.
- Reliable personal transportation to and from the local delivery hub.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to meet strict delivery windows.
- Must pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
