Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight to designated locations within Philadelphia and surrounding areas
- Inspect vehicles pre/post-trip to ensure mechanical safety and compliance with DOT regulations
- Load/unload shipments using forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual handling techniques
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage records, and inventory documentation
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery status and route adjustments
- Adhere to strict delivery timelines while prioritizing safety and customer satisfaction
- Collaborate with warehouse teams to ensure efficient loading/unloading processes
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly and operate material handling equipment
- Familiarity with Philadelphia metro area roadways and traffic patterns
- Strong time management skills with ability to meet tight delivery schedules
- Pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug screening
- Basic computer literacy for digital logging and communication systems
